MY STORY

As a little boy, my first memory of fishing was at a small pond on a farm in Brookfield. We had to pass a penned bull near the pond, which was full of weeds and bullfrogs. I was excited! I caught sunnies with my dad and brother, and had more fun trying to get bullfrogs to eat my bobber.

Later on, my grandfather and uncle would take me fishing from time to time, though I wanted to go every day. Fishing was truly my passion. If there was a fish to catch, I was in. I started ice fishing, saltwater, crabbing, fly fishing, and of my favorites, trout and bass. I watched Bass Masters, wishing for my dream to become a pro. I did fairly well, making it to 2 national championships through the federation and winning, placing me in the local tournaments.

In 2013, I lost my job of 25 years. I sold my boat, my home and moved to North Carolina, far away from friends, family and bass fishing. I gave up tournaments and made getting a home and raising a family my priority. I managed to fish here and there with my son and daughter. We mainly fish for catfish, stripers, bass, drum, seatrout and flounder within the Princeton, NC area.
